SMU at TCU

Trent Johnson became the first TCU new head coach to win his first two games since 1994. SMU has a distinguished new head coach of their own as Larry Brown takes over as the only coach to win both an NCAA and NBA Title. While Brown has a ton of coaching experience, he also has one of the youngest teams in the country, and winning at home against Loyola Marymount is not the same as going on the road to TCU. The Horned Frogs have been tough at home where they are 16-3 in their last 19 games. And, opening the season with their first five games at home gives this team a great opportunity to get off to a confidence-building, fast start. They also have revenge going here for a 6-point defeat last year at the hands of the Mustangs. SMU is just 3-9 ATS following a win, while the Frogs are enjoying home cooking at 6-1 ATS in their last seven. Play on TCU.
