Siena pulled off a shocker by handling Stanford 79-67 to hand the Cardinal their only loss of the season. The Saints were competitive in road games against James Madison and lost to Syracuse by just eight points. Last year Siena started two freshmen and four more got major minutes. That experience is paying dividends for the Saints this season. Edwin Ubiles has elevated his game to 18.2 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game while G Ronald Moore is at 11.2-ppg, and 6-apg. Alex Franklin, another FR who got minutes last year has also become a double-digit scorer, and the best is Kenny Hasbrouck at 18.8-ppg. The Saints are deep and can score from anywhere on the floor. Cornell has wins over Army and Lehigh and look good at 2-1, but dropped a 13-point decision to Miami, Ohio. Cornell may have a shot at becoming the only team outside of Penn and Princeton to make the NCAA Tournament since 1988. The Big Red is one dimensional and a perimeter team, and the only weakness Siena has is on the glass, which is certainly not Cornell's strength. We will lay a few with Siena here, who should come away with a comfortable win.
