Seattle at Maryland

The 2k Sports Classic lifts the lid on the 2010-11 NCAA Basketball season in College Park, MD tonight. The Terrapins won 24 games a year ago and finished 13-3 in the rugged ACC. The Terps may have too much speed on the outside with Sean Mosley and Adrien Bowie, but also have a monster inside in 6'10" Jordan Williams, who also comes in at 260 pounds. He had a great freshman campaign at 9.6 points per game and 8.6 boards, and is definitely a double-double candidate this year. Seattle likes to play an up-tempo game, but has little in the way of experience beyond three returning starters. The Terps play very tough on defense, and I'm not sure if an up-tempo game with an undermanned team is the right way to play Maryland. The Terrapins win and cover this one.
