Southeastern Louisiana at Nicholls State

Nicholls State started off slowly this season, but it has bounced back to win four of its past six games after finishing 21-12 in 2021-22, including 11-3 in the Southland Conference where they are picked to be contenders again this season. Latrell Jones leads three double-figure scorers with 15.8 points per game and the Colonels average 79.1 points per game and they defend the 3-pointer well with opponents shooting just 28.5 percent from beyond the arc. Southeastern Louisiana has been dealing with the loss of four starters from last year's 19-15 squad and the Lions currently are 5-5 overall and 1-4 in true road games, including against Appalachian State, Xavier and Dayton.
