The San Diego Toreros will be remembered as a team that upset UConn in the NCAA Tournament and Gonzaga during the conference semifinals last season. Much was expected as they entered this season with their top six contributors back from that team a year ago. My, how quickly things can change. Starting guard Trumaine Johnson has been suspended and is yet to play. De'Jon Jackson has missed the last two games and has had fluid drained from his knee, so he is unlikely for this one, but at best 50% healthy. Their leader, Brandon Johnson, went down with a ruptured Achilles last game and is lost for the season. That is arguably their top three players, PG, and team leader now all out, so this team is certainly going to be ripe for the picking here. San Jose getting almost double-digits from a team in chaos is to hard to pass up here.
