Bill Grier finally is gone as coach of San Diego after several mediocre seasons and Lamont Smith takes over, who used to play for the Toreros. Smith brought in four freshmen to hopefully upgrade the offense and make it more up-tempo. Also, the frontcourt will not be a strong point on this team. San Diego was 15-16 and 12-16 ATS in Grier's last season and it loses top shooter Johnny Dee. USC was 12-2 and 17-15 ATS last year with a very inexperienced squad. Coach Andy Enfield is running out of time to turn the program around but this team returns almost intact. Two of the top three scorers are back in guards Katin Reinhardt and Jordan McLaughlin. However, the Trojans still aren't ready to lay this many points. Play on San Diego.
