San Diego at Pepperdine

Pepperdine can be their own worst enemy. They are just 6-11 on the season, but their careless mistakes have probably cost them a few games when they come down to closing an opponent out. The Waves average 16 turnovers a game, and that is a lot of lost possessions. They also shoot just 42% for the season. Combining a lot of turnovers with poor shooting puts them in jeopardy every time they take the floor. San Diego has out-shot their opponents, and have not only been effective from deep at better than 36% as a team, they defend it very well, allowing opponents to shoot just 28%. That is a lot of things that would indicate a live dog in this one, and I'll back San Diego.
