The Sacramento State basketball program is a mess right now. They have lost two players to academics and three others to injuries. The minutes per game from these players adds up to 50+, so a bad team has become worse. They have just a one point win at home to show for their efforts against D-1A opponents. The road has been a nightmare, where they are 0-10, having lost all 10 by double-digits. Their road woes extend even further as including last year, they are now 2-24 on the road, with 20 double-digit losses. The team shoots under 40%, allows nearly 50%, and their top rebounder gets just four boards per game. To make matters worse, they have commited 286 turnovers to just 210 assists. Idaho State started 3-10, but has since gone 3-2. Eight losses were to Iowa, BYU, Oregon State, Boise State (14-5), UCLA, Wash State, Utah and Washington. They certainly have held their own otherwise, and should have their way with a bad Sacramento State team that is gotten uglier as the season has progressed.
