Southern Utah at Tarleton State

Tarleton State is undefeated at home in five games this season and Freddy Hicks, last year's WAC Newcomer of the Year, averages 17.9 points and 6.4 rebounds. The Texans are coached by Billy Gillispie, who previously coached at UTEP, Texas A&M, Kentucky and Texas Tech, and he has brought his famous defensive philosophy to Tarleton State. Southern Utah comes off an overtime win against UT Rio Grande Valley on Saturday, but it didn't cover as a 14-point favorite. Tarleton has not played a tough home schedule, but the Texans have won the five games by an average of 32.8 points.
