Southern Utah at Fresno State

Tonight is the Final Four of The Basketball Classic and Southern Utah has quietly had a terrific season, including 14 wins their past 20 games. They were an underdog in their first two games of this tournament, taking down Kent State (83-79) and UTEP (82-69). They have excellent balance with a senior backcourt of John Knight III (14.6 ppg) and Dre Marin, plus 6-6 senior Maizen Fausett (12 ppg, 7.9 rpg) and 6-11 center Jason Spurgin (8.2 ppg, 5.3 rpg) up front. Southern Utah comes off a 77-66 win over Portland shooting 53.7 percent from the field while holding Portland's offense to 42.6 percent shooting. They're a dog to a Fresno State squad that finished fifth in the Mountain West regular season then got bounced in the conference tournament by San Diego State, 63-46.
