Rutgers at Minnesota

The revival of the Rutgers basketball program continues as it's off to a 6-1 start after improving to 15-18 last season. The Scarlet Knights did lose to Florida State on Tuesday for its first defeat of the season, but they held the Seminoles to 44.8 percent shooting, and Eugene Omoruyi led the Kinghts with 22 points while DeShawn Freeman added 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. Minnesota won last season's meeting, 72-63, and the Golden Gophers are coming off a home loss to Miami, 86-81, on Wednesday. Rutgers actually has the better defensive numbers holding opponents to just a .372 shooting percentage compared to .406 for the Gophers, and the Scarlet Knights are getting double digits in this matchup.
