Rice at Texas-San Antonio

The Rice Owls went over a decade without a 20+ win season until last year when they broke out to win 23 games. Unfortunately Coach Scott Parra returned just one starter from that team, and has started the 2017 season ugly at 3-10. There have been some tough teams on the schedule, and Rice may not be finding the win column, but are 3-1 ATS in their last four when taking 10+. Texas San Antonio is 7-6, but the wins have come vs. very soft competition. They are also 5-1 on games with no line and just 2-5 otherwise, and have lost to Utah Valley State. They have only been favored in one game, and that was a slender -2, and the huge double-digit line is hard to justify in this one. Play on Rice.
