BYU has played four weak opponents and still is shooting only 43.8 percent overall and 27.3 percent from three-point range. However, the Cougars are holding opponents to just a .354 field goal percentage overall and .303 from beyond the arc. Rice is allowing 76.0 points per game compared to 66.6 for the Cougars. Rice's opposition has been slightly better, including games versus Penn and Houston and the Owls lost both while averaging 72 points. Rice has a slew of new players this season and coach Scott Pera still is trying to put together a starting lineup that works. Rice is 4-1 UNDER its last five games after scoring at least 90 points its previous game and BYU has stayed UNDER six in a row after scoring 90-plus points. Also, Rice is 5-1 UNDER its last six versus West Coast Conference teams dating to previous seasons. Take the UNDER.
