Nevada got off to a good start with an 88-64 win over Idaho with Caleb Martin scoring 26 points and Cody Martin adding 15 points as the Wolf Pack shot 48.4 percent, while holding the Vandals to just 37.9 percent. Coach Eric Musselman returns two of his top players in point guard Lindsey Drew and forward Jordan Caroline, who scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds against Idaho. Nevada was first in the Mountain West in scoring last year while allowing only 71.3 points per game. Rhode Island opened with an 84-60 win over NC-Asheville, but now go on the road for a tough test for its guard-oriented squad. The Rams should cool off after shooting a blistering 54.1 percent against the Bulldogs, but the Rams were only three of 14 from three-point range.
