Rhode Island at Brown

This is a rivalry game as both schools hale from the tiny state of Rhode Island and are just 15 minutes apart. The Rams have started out fast the past couple years then finished slow, so this year they are working harder, getting into better shape and 6 AM workouts were on the daily schedule. The Rams have seven-footer Will Martell which is an immediate matchup problem for undersized Brown, but also a deterrent getting inside. The Bears’ tallest contributing player stands 6'8". The Bears finished dead last in the Ivy League last year and prospects for advancing are marginal as they struggle to find competent guards. With their strength inside facing a big Rams front-line, it will be difficult for them to stay in this one. Rhode Island gets the call.
