Duke and Princeton will square off in the Maui Invitational tonight. Princeton has opened 2-0, but against CCSU, which lost most of their team to graduation, they barely squeaked out a two-point win, and they also beat a horrible Iona team by eight. Princeton is expected to be near the Ivy League basement this season, and playing against a top team that finally has some depth will be quite the challenge. Lately Duke has put out some overrated teams, but this one might be underrated. Taylor King and Kyle Singler have both been as good as advertised. Duke now has an inside presence and the floor is balanced getting double-digit scoring from five players and much deeper with 10 players getting at least 10 minutes. Coach K has certainly kept the team motivated in Hawaii as he has won this tournament the last three times he brought his team here. None of the 10 Duke players getting major minutes are shooting under 43%. Princeton is not a good shooting team, and really beyond the starting five the drop off is rather severe. This should be a 30-point game at the very least, so we will ride the Dukies.
