Prairie View A&M at Texas

Texas won the NIT championship last season and the Longhorns have won their first three this year, including a big victory at Purdue. Coach Shaka Smart could be on the hot seat if the Longhorns don't make it at least to the NCAA Tournament, but they are strong at the guard position with Matt Coleman and Jase Febres returning. Texas defeated Cal Baptist with Courtney Ramey scoring 19 points and Jericho Sims contributing 11 points and 11 rebounds so the Horns do have some overall talent and balanced scoring. Prairie View A&M comes off a 22-13 season, but returns only two starters and the Panthers are out of their league literally and figuratively in this matchup. The Panthers are 1-6-1 ATS their last eight non-conference games and the Longhorns have covered four of their last five non-conference games dating to last season. Take Texas.
