Portland at Gonzaga

This may be the best Gonzaga team of many very good teams the program has put on the floor over the past decade and a half. That comes with its own challenges to the huge numbers pinned on them, and it is tough for a team to go out night after night and blow out opponents. Conference games that get to the 20-point mark have a pretty long history of a strong win rate for the dog in these matchups. Portland has one of their better teams as well and enter the game at 13-9 on the season, and certainly have enough firepower to keep this one at the very least close enough for a backdoor cover. Gonzaga has a more meaningful date with Memphis in their next game, and could be a bit out of focus for this one. Take the generous points on Portland.
