Jahmar Young is the best player for the Aggies, but he is careless with the ball and one-dimensional. He scored 16 points against USC, but had no assists and committed six turnovers. While a loss to USC did not seem so bad for the Aggies, the Trojans just went down to Seton Hall, so they may not be as good as advertised. That loss now looks a bit more glaring on the Aggies resume as they were beaten soundly. New Mexico State is playing selfish basketball with a lot of one-on-one stuff as no one on the team has more than four assists through the first two games. It is hard to cover big numbers when the players are not cohesive. The Wave has been shooting lights out from three-point range, which should keep them within the number here. They are off a big loss but that should help as they are a perfect 7-0 ATS dating back to last season following a 15+ point loss. I like Pepperdine here.
