Pepperdine at Long Beach State

The Waves was traditionally a strong team for a longtime, but have really fallen on hard times. They just a 1-5 mark with the lone win vs Cal St. Montery Bay and only by nine points to a non-div1 team. The Waves lack a consistent scoring threat and have no one that can shoot consistently. The Waves' top seven scorers show just one that connect on over 42%, and when you have that many empty trips and no one grabbing more than 6.5rpg, your in a lot of trouble especially on the road. Long Beach has already gone on the road in two of the toughest buildings in college hoops and played both Wisconsin and BYU tough losing by an average of less than double-digits in the two games and are 3-0 otherwise. The 49ers four top scorers are all guards or forward-guard types with a lot more athleticism and quickness for the Waves to handle.  This one has blowout potential and the 49ers get the call here.
