Pepperdine at BYU

The high-octane offense of the BYU Cougars caught a lot of opponents off guard early in the season, as they raced their way out to a 7-2 start. They have since been slowed down and have won just two of their last seven games. The oddsmakers have overrated their offense and game tempo to the point of playing to unachievable totals that have left BYU at 9-3 to the UNDER through 12 games. Pepperdine used to rule the West Coast Conference, but has slipped back over the last several years, but the Waves may have their best team in years and come in at a respectable 10-6. One of those 10 wins came against this same BYU team, where they limited the Cougars to just 74 points - their lowest output of the season. The fact is, BYU has scored their lowest and second lowest points all in the last three games, as teams have begun to take away their running game.
