Rick Majerus has never had a losing season in 20 years of coaching. Majerus led Utah to ten conference championships, ten NCAA Tournament appearances and a Final Four. He knows how to win. He inherits a team off a 20-win season so hopes are high. He's got his new team off to a 4-2 start with his team allowing just 59.2 points per game. Their two losses came against very good teams in Pittsburgh and Missouri State. Both games were on the road (this one is at home) and in both of those losses, they competed, covering the spread in both. Pacific is 4-1 but just 1-3 ATS. This will be their toughest test outside of a game against Oregon in which they lost by 16 points. Majerus is very good vs. winning teams. He's 24-11 ATS in his coaching career at home vs. teams at 60%+ SU and 16-5 ATS at home vs. teams that are outscoring their opponents by 8+ ppg. Meanwhile Pacific is 5-15 ATS since last season vs. winning teams including 1-11 ATS vs. teams at 60%+
