Fresno State makes the move into the Mountain West Conference this season coming over from the WAC. That means a tougher schedule for a team that has a lot of new faces. The Fresno State roster has six freshmen to open the season, but still has seven upperclassmen to blend youth with experience. One standout returnee is Kevin Olekaibe who averaged 17.8 points per game and will be required to carry the scoring load. Not long ago Pacific reigned supreme in the Big West, but fell hard and fast a year ago at 11-19. They are projected to struggle again this season, as they’re picked to finish in the bottom third of the conference. Right now there are just more workable parts for Fresno State at this stage of the season. Pacific is also just 1-6 ATS in their last seven including 0-4 ATS on the road. Fresno St. is 7-2 ATS after scoring less than 50 in their previous contest. Play on Fresno State.
