Things have not gone as well as most thought for Ohio St. The Buckeyes are just 10-8 on the season, and 2-5 in Conference play. They will hit the road and face the Purdue Boliermakers who come into this game at 15-4 on the season, and 7-1 in Conference play. Ohio State's record won't blow anyone away, but the numbers show so much more. They have a scoring margin of +9 and Purdue is at +10. Ohio St. allows 40% shooting and just 29% from deep — both better than Purdue. The point is these teams are not 10 points apart, and the oddsmakers are hinging too much on the straight-up records.
