Northwestern has lost two in a row. But this is a fine team that does a lot of things exceptionally well, including playing tough defense, which will be a huge plus in this one. The Wildcats are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five road games, No. 14 in the nation in assists and committing an average of just 10.9 turnovers per game - a mark that ranks No. 21 in the country. Northwestern ranks first in the Big Ten with a 55.9 opponents scoring average. The Wildcats have been especially stingy on the defensive end in the first half this season. In three of the team's first five contests, Northwestern's opponent managed just 14 points! They come off a loss to Illinois-Chicago, but the Wildcats held the Flames to 30.9 percent shooting from the field. Baylor is overvalued, on a 2-5 ATS run, and is 3-11 ATS at home against a team with a road winning percentage of greater than .600. The Bears (5-2) are coming off an emotional 64-55 win at No. 8 Kentucky on Saturday, so this is a letdown spot. The Bears are 10-25 ATS in their last 35 games when following a win and 5-16 ATS after a spread cover. Take the points, play on Northwestern.
