The Northern Illinois Huskies have already ventured into the Big-10, and came out on the wrong side of a 22-point blowout at the hands of Northwestern. Now they must tackle a bigger obstacle and face Illinois. The Illini have a pair of bookend forwards in McCamey and Davis, as well as an improving 7-1 center in Tisdale. They have also added add a top-15 recruiting class, and the Illini are ready to head upward in the Big-10. That class is headed by DJ Richardson who added 14 in the opener, but another freshman stole the show as Brandon Paul threw down 22. The Illini have the experience and now some added firepower with two freshmen contributing 36 in the opener. That is more than the Huskies, who have been a fixture below the 300 mark in the RPI ratings the past two years, can handle. Illinois big in this one.
