Northern Illinois at Georgia State

Georgia State went out and got some shooters after finishing with one of the worst field goal and 3-point percentages in the country in 2022-23 and it appears to be paying off in the early going. The Panthers are hitting 46.6 percent and averaging 82.0 points while splitting their first two games. They lost 89-87 to Belmont and then defeated Western Michigan 77-70 with Lucas Taylor leading the way with 27 points against the Broncos. Northern Illinois comes off a 13-19 season and it has won two of three this season although the most recent was against Illinois Tech on Monday and the other was versus Appalachian State. The Huskies were routed 92-70 by Marquette in the season opener when they shot only 37 percent. The Panthers have covered four in a row as home favorites, but go with Georgia State on the moneyline as a Max Play.
