Northeastern at North Carolina State

Northeastern was picked to finish near the top of the Colonial Athletic Association. However, the Huskies have lost three of their last five games, including two as small road favorites at Detroit and Western Michigan. Northeastern also lost by 20 points at home against Michigan State, but is coming off a 77-65 win over Vermont last Tuesday when Quincy Ford led the Huskies with 23 points and eight rebounds. N.C. State has won five in a row following a 58-52 win against North Carolina Greensboro on Dec. 22. The Wolfpack shot only 40.4 percent from the field but held the Spartans to 35.0 percent. Anthony Barber poured in 27 points and Abdul-Malik Abu grabbed 11 rebounds for the Wolfpack. Northeastern has some defensive shortcomings in allowing teams to shoot 50 percent from the floor on the road. N.C. State did not cover the big number against Greensboro, but still gets a win tonight. Play N.C. State on the moneyline.
