Nicholls State vs. Sam Houston

Sam Houston State had a couple of very good teams the last couple of years, as they won 24 and 26 games respectfully. This has been a rebuilding season, one in which saw them struggle to stay above .500 at 17-14. They have created a reputation with their recent success, but with a team not on the same level, they have failed to cover their three lined games this season. Nicholls State did not find the win column with any degree of frequency entering at 11-22 on the season. The good news, however, is their strong finish that saw a 7-22 team win four straight games coming into this one, and are feeling pretty good about themselves.
