New Mexico State vs. Kansas

New Mexico State played in and won the WAC, which is a far cry from the conference it used to be, so they will get little respect here. The Aggies, however, are feeling good about themselves as they have run off 13 straight wins. The Aggies can shoot the three-pointer very well, and while they are not a deep team, they get very balanced scoring with six players averaging over 8 points per game. Kansas is very good, but lost a lot of star power from last year, and is a very young team. The Jayhawks didn't close the season very strong at 5-4 in their last nine games. Kansas has struggled at times without a go-to player, and have also struggled at the free throw line on occasion. I'm not sure if this team is ready for the big stage at this point, and New Mexico State can knock down three-pointers, which will make this a more challenging game than it appears.
