New Mexico State at Western Kentucky

New Mexico St. and Western Kentucky are two pretty good mid-major programs. They are both jockeying for positions at Conference USA. This conference has eight of their 10 teams at .500 or better in conference play, so there is much to sort out this month. There isn't much statistical distance between these teams, and both teams are very strong defensively. The Aggies allow opponents to shoot 39% overall and just 28% from deep, while the Hilltoppers allow 41% overall and 31% from deep. I like defensive dogs with favorable stats. I will go with New Mexico St.
