Ever since Randy Bennett came to St. Mary's the Gaels have been right up there in the West Coast Conference to be competitive with Gonzaga in the West Coast Conference. The Gaels have started 8-3 on the season This team has played a very competitive schedule as usual, and will likely be an NCAA Tournament team come March. New Mexico St. had to replace all five starters and it is going to take time for this team to reach a higher status. One of St. Mary's losses came by just five points to then #1 Houston, and I think this team has a huge edge in both talent and experience over New Mexico St. Make the play on St. Mary's.
