Wisconsin is a big favorite here, but two games ago they were also a double-digit favorite and lost straight up to Virginia, 60-54. They focus more on defense and a slow pace for Coach Bo Ryan. The Badgers are 1-6 ATS at home against a team with a losing road record, and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games following a win. Wisconsin has bigger fish to fry with a showdown against Marquette of the Big East on deck. Nebraska-Omaha comes to town in a game that simply means more to the Mavericks. Head coach Derrin Hansen, in his eighth year at the helm, owns a very solid career record of 123-93. This is a veteran team that has good balance on offense, shooting 45% as a team and averaging 67 points per game. They are led by junior guard Justin Simmons (12 ppg) who is an excellent long-range shooter, 6’8” junior center John Karhoff and 6’7” junior forward Matt Hagerbaumer. The Mavericks have already played at Nebraska, losing 75-62, shooting 46% (the same as the Huskers), nailing 8-of-13 threes (61.5%) and holding the Huskers to 3-of-22 from long range. The Badgers win this game, but Nebraska-Omaha should be able to keep it inside this very large number. Take the points and back Nebraska-Omaha.
