Wisconsin won the last meeting with Nebraska during the regular season but the Huskers will have a key component back, a guy who missed that game. Second-team All-Big Ten forward 6-foot-7, 225-pound Shavon Shields (16.6 ppg, 5 rpg) is back, who didn't make the trip to Madison in early February after suffering a concussion against Rutgers the previous game. A three-year captain, he was missed on both ends of the floor in a 72-61 loss to the Badgers. Against Purdue last week, he had a career-high 32 points. Teamed with 6-8 freshman Michael Jacobson and 6-7 Andrew White (16.5 ppg, 6 rpg) Nebraska has plenty of offensive punch and frontcourt muscle. On Wednesday night, Nebraska crushed Rutgers, 89-72 as Shields had a double-double (20 points, 11 rebounds). When they med in Madison the Huskers won most of the statistical categories against the Badgers: They outscored them in the paint (24-16), on second chance points (18-7), transition (4-0) and off the bench (13-10), but they couldn't make up for the difference from beyond the arc (33-12). This will be a close one all the way, so grab the big dog. Play Nebraska.
