North Carolina State vs. Clemson

The ACC is a rugged conference with a lot of strong teams, and NC State and Clemson have each had their moments this season. But, the overall body of work in conference play has them playing day one of the tournament. Clemson faced one of the toughest schedules in the country, and have seen just three teams all season with a record at the time of their game that were under .500. They swept the three games, and most recently beat BC 82-68, and a similar score here would not be surprising. Mark Gottfried was fired but is coaching out the rest of the season. Since that announcement the Wolf Pack has just one win, and that was by a scant two points. Lame duck coaches are tough to play on, as for the most part the kids no longer see him as an authority.
