NC State at Wisconsin

No respect here for the Badgers as they are getting points despite being seeded 4 spots higher than their opponent. Yes, the Wolfpack put away UCONN and for that they deserve respect but I think the public has this one wrong. Wisconsin's defense is nothing short of amazing, allowing just 59.5 points per game this season and 54.6 per game over their last five. They held Illinois to their season low (just 54 points) in the Big 10 Championship. This defense is so good that it allowed to go 4-1 over their last five games despite scoring just 58 points and shooting 38.5% from the field. If they have any offensive success tonight, they'll easily win this one. NC State, while off that impressive win, still went just 7-9 in conference play and they are going to run into a much better team than themselves tonight. I think the win for NC State against UCONN may have been more the problems with youth for the Huskies, than the great play of the Wolfpack. Favorites that successfully covered the spread in 2 or more consecutive games in the NCAA tournament game are just 41-83 (33%) ATS since 1997. Three stars on Wisconsin.
