NC State at Texas

We saw a #2 go down yesterday but that was Tennessee and this is Texas. Unlike the Vols, Texas is very deserving of the #2 seed. They underperformed in the tourney last year but don't forget that they were without the services of PJ Tucker and LaMarcus Aldrdige then. No such problems this year as the duo carried the Longhorns to a first round victory over Penn. NC State beat Cal by six on Friday but prior to that they lost four straight games SU and ATS. Not a great run entering this game. They did so poorly thanks to shotty defense. Over that stretch the Wolfpack allowed 48% FG and 76 points per game. Texas has allowed 64 PPG over their last five games and 38% FG on the season. As we get down the stretch in this tourney, defense matters more and more and Texas is head and shoulders above NC State in this category. Texas in a blowout for two stars.
