Marshall returns four starters and is off to a good start after an 81-69 win over North Carolina Central. Terrence Thompson scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds i the winning effort. The Thundering Herd also held the Eagles to 40.9 percent shooting, which is a good early sign that Marshall has an improved defense this season - something that is sorely needed. Point guard Jon Elmore added 17 points and Ryan Taylor, another key returnee, finished with 12 points and six rebounds. Morehead State lost three starters but returns senior guard Xavier Moon and senior forward DeJuan Marrero, who scored 12 and 17 points, respectively in the 89-75 win over Lipscomb on Sunday. The Bison were held to a .391 field goal percentage. Marshall is also 11-4-1 ATS after a win dating to last season and has gone UNDER five of its last seven home games.
