Monmouth at South Carolina

South Carolina got off to a great start last season by winning its first 15 games, and is already is 2-0 this year beating Louisiana Tech and Holy Cross.  The Gamecocks' backcourt is their strong point and Sindarius Thornwell scored 20 points against the Crusaders while PJ Dozier added 15 points. The Gamecocks shot 58.7 percent and made 12-of-24 from beyond the arc. The defense held Holy Cross to 37.8 percent from the field in an 81-49 win that covered the spread by 20 points. Monmouth was a 20-point favorite against Drexel and won by 13 with Micah Seaborn scoring 17 points for the Hawks. South Carolina is shooting 55.3 percent its first two games while Monmouth was 29-of-71 in its opener. The Gamecocks have covered 17 of their last 24 home games. Take South Carolina.
