Missouri State has loaded up with several transfers to help fill the losses from last season and the Bears are 3-3 straight-up and 3-2 ATS after six games, including a 76-64 win over Oakland University on Sunday when the Bears shot 49 percent and hit 12 of 29 from 3-point range. Bryan Trimble Jr. led five double-figure scorers with 14 points. The Bears allow opponents just a 39.8 field goal percentage and they actually may have more depth with the incoming players than they had last season when they finished 23-11. This is the first year in the Missouri Valley Conference for Illinois Chicago and the Flames have one of the youngest teams in the conference with just three seniors.
