Miss Valley State at Mississippi State

While both these teams reside in the same state, this is far from a rivalry or recruiting battle as Mississippi State is far superior to Mississippi Valley State. The Delta Devils load their early season schedule every year with basically unwinnable games. They earn a good paycheck, and they feel the experience playing the best early helps them later in the season. They took on seven power conference teams a year ago and lost by over 30 points a game, and their opener this season was at Indiana where they lost by a total of 51 points. Not sure what else needs to be said here, play on Mississippi State.
