The Michigan State Spartans stand alone at the top of the Big-10 standings at 7-2. Minnesota sits just a notch below at 6-3, along with three other teams. The Spartans have suffered just four losses on the season, the latest a shocker at home to Penn State. They have rebounded extremely well off their losses as they have gone out and won their following game by 11 or more points each time. Minnesota comes in a surprising 18-3, but the jury is still out on this team. They had one big win on the season over Louisville, but it came at a time when Louisville was really struggling. They are just 2-2 in their last four against Big-10 competition, and have already lost at home to the good teams in Purdue and this same Michigan St. team. The last time these two met, the Spartans beat them soundly by 12 points on their home floor. I like Michigan State to come away with the straight-up win here, and will back them on the moneyline.
