Mercer lost the last meeting when it shot only 34.8 percent overall and 20.8 percent from 3-point range while Furman connected on 57.8 percent and 12 of 24 from long distance and still the Bears came within 11 in a 74-63 loss. The Bears figure to do a lot better while the Paladins have to cool off in tonight's matchup as Mercer shoots 44.4 percent on the season compared to 47.1 percent for Furman. Also, Mercer may have the best player on the floor in Ross Cummings, who averages 17.6 points and shoots 40.3 percent from behind the arc. This is too many points to lay for Furman, who may be taking this game lightly and it's on a neutral court. Take the points with Mercer.
