Mercer is off to a strong start with a ton of returning experience and talent, with four senior starters and a trio of experienced guards. Ninety-four percent of their scoring from last year is back, led by Ria'n Holland (20.2 points per contest, 56.8 percent from three-point range). Mercer is one of only two teams in the nation to start five seniors this season. They were the preseason favorite to win the Southern Conference men's championship and are playing like it.
