This is the second game in two days for these teams from the Jim Thorpe Classic in Wyoming. Maryland-East Shore got beat by the host team last night, but this is a big frontcourt with 6-6 senior Tyler Hines and 6-11 junior Olatunji Kosile on a team that prefers to slow the pace down. They had six players off the bench yesterday that played 11 or more minutes, which is a huge plus in these back-to-back tourney games. Portland State (3-2) didn't have that luxury yesterday, beating La Tech by 18 points, but it was a lot closer than that. Louisiana Tech was still within 7 points (44-37), at the 9:11 mark. As a result Portland State had only two players off the pine that played double-digit minutes, playing 14 and 24. This is not a great offensive team, as Portland State shot 37% last night and 43% for the season. In fact, the two teams combined to shoot 4-of-41 from beyond the three-point line, including 0-for-22 in the first half! The Portland State Vikings are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning percentage below .400, and 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a favorite of -12.0 or greater. Play on Maryland, Eastern Shore.
