Maryland at Michigan

Maryland is 10-3 straight-up and 9-4 ATS and Kevin Willard appears to have the program headed in the right direction in his first year as coach. The Terrapins' three losses came against tough competition - Wisconsin, Tennessee and UCLA - and they are battle-tested for conference play. Maryland defeated UMBC 80-64 on Thursday with Donald Carey leading four double-figure scorers with 19 points and the Retrievers were held to 36 percent shooting. Michigan has lost four of six after being upset 63-61 by Central Michigan, which was a 21.5-point underdog. The Wolverines also are having to contend with coach Juwan Howard's meltdowns, which doesn't bode well going into Big 10 action. Michigan shot just 35.1 percent versus the Chippewas and Maryland is holding opponents to a .389 field goal percentage this season. The Wolverines are 1-5 ATS their past six home games. Take Maryland.
