The Tigers have dropped three in a row but they are 9-2 at home where they have won games by an average of 18 points per game. Their only two stumbles were against Illinois, losing by two in early December, and to Duke in their last game here. That Duke loss will push this team to leave it all on the floor to avoid back-to-back home losses. Maryland has the offense, but their defense is no better than average. On the road over the past three seasons, the Terps are 1-9 vs. good defenses (teams that allow under 65 ppg). Clemson, meanwhile, is 10-1 at home the past three seasons when coming off a loss. They are also 12-5 at home under Oliver Purnell when coming off back-to-back losses. I look for Clemson's "A" game here which should be enough for a win. Maryland is a very solid team and could keep this close so I'm backing the Tigers on the moneyline instead.
