East Carolina has not enjoyed a lot of success on the hardwood over the years, but are having a banner year by their own standards at 17-11 on the season. They have gotten there by scheduling four automatic wins vs. obscure non-Div-1 programs, and have added six wins by 6 points or less to the total, so 10 of the 17 wins were a bit cloudy. Marshall is just 13-17, but did take a much more aggressive approach to their out-of-conference slate. The Pirates also have a lot of ugly to deal with here, as in their 17-48-4 ATS mark in their last 69 games at home vs. a team with a losing record. This one stands to be close, so the points rule. Take the road team.
