Marquette at St. John's

Marquette has won eight in a row, but the last seven have been at home against mostly weak competition and this will be only its second true road game of the season. St. John's barely lost 76-74 at Seton Hall on Saturday to end its 12-game unbeaten streak, but the Red Storm is back home where it allows opponents only a .413 field goal percentage while shooting 48.2 percent itself. St. John's won by eight on this court last year and it has covered the spread in nine of the last 12 meetings. Marquette is 1-4 ATS its last five road games dating to last season and 1-5-1 ATS its last seven meetings with the Red Storm overall. Shamorie Ponds leads the Red Storm with a 18.7 scoring average followed by Mustapha Heron (15.8 points per game) and LJ Figueroa, who scores 14.9 points with 7.0 rebounds per game.  Back St. John's tonight.
