Marquette at Georgetown

Premium Pick

Young Marquette heads out on the road for just the second time with confidence and maturity problems. The last game the Golden Eagles led at halftime, but couldn't sustain their energy level in falling by 20 at home to Seton Hall. Marquette is 16-34-1 ATS against the Big East and 3-10 ATS following a straight-up loss. Georgetown is home and playing strong defense. They are off a 70-58 win at DePaul on Wednesday, winning seven of their last nine games. After struggling defensively in a pair of non-conference losses, the Hoyas have held their last two opponents under 60 points. Georgetown coach John Thompson III made a change prior to the DePaul game, inserting Tre Campbell into the starting lineup and moving L.J. Peak to the role of sixth man. The focus against Marquette will  be in the paint as the Golden Eagles rank in the bottom half of Division I in three-point attempts. The Hoyas won both games last season and hold all the cards here. Back Georgetown on the moneyline.
